Frequently Asked Questions

Will my rates go up by filing a claim?
No..it’s not like a car wreck were someone is to blame, this is a natural disaster, and is the reason why you pay for homeowners insurance-they cannot penalize you for using something you pay for.
What about my deductible?
The deductible is the amount the insurance company deducts from what they pay you to get the work done. They expect you to pay that amount to get the work done. We have programs available to help you to pay for part, or all of your deductible.
Do you guarantee your work?
Absolutely! We depend on satisfied customers for referrals; one unhappy person in a neighborhood can cost us 20 jobs! We do whatever it takes to make you happy, and to treat you the way we would want to be treated.
Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
We are a licensed general contractor, and also carry many specialty trade licenses in different states. We carry full liability insurance, and meet all state bonding requirements. You can have peace of mind, knowing you are dealing with a reputable, established company.
Are you Local?
We are a nationwide company, with satellite offices in storm affected areas. We can provide you with a thorough list of references from local neighbors to people in other states across the country that Storm Team has serviced. We have corporate offices in Georgia and Ohio. We respond to major Hurricane, Tornado, Hail, Flood and Windstorms nationwide. We immediately establish a local office, and register with the local government, and obtain all required licenses in the city affected by these storms.
Can you give me an estimate?
The only estimate that really counts is the estimate written by your insurance adjuster. We will compare our measurements, and costs with your insurance company and come to a mutually agreeable estimate with them directly, and then do the work for that price, this way there is no out of pocket expense to you.
How long does the process take?
The insurance and mortgage release process can take as little as 2 days, or as long as two months. We are professionals at dealing with insurance companies, and can cut through the red tape, and save you plenty of time and headaches trying to figure the process out.
